Campaigns:

We have successfully developed creative strategies to compete for voter’s attention, attracted national news media attention, and effectively sway public opinion on many state election issues.  Mendez Consulting Inc. has many notable accomplishments in ballot initiative campaigns, winning several decisive victories in contests that were thought to be lost causes, including the following:

  • 1994: NO on 16 (First Amendment, censorship) – Defeated 63% to 37%
  • 1996: NO on 17 (Parental Rights Amendment) – Defeated 57.7% to 42.3%
  • 1998: NO on 11 (Abortion Restrictions) – Defeated 51.4% to 48.6%
  • 2000: NO on 25 (Abortion Restrictions) – Defeated 60% to 40%
  • 2008: NO on 48 (Personhood Amendment) – Defeated 73% to 27%
  • 2010: NO on 62 (Personhood Amendment) – Defeated 73% to 27%

In addition we have worked on and secured passage for several important Special District or County elections:

  • 2004: Scientific and Cultural Facilities (12 year reauthorization) – Passed
